Diginius at Trevose Golf & Country Club
On the 18th– 21st of June Diginius along with their partner VTEX showcased at the Farmfoods European Legends Link Championships which took place at the Trevose Golf & Country Club. As the newest event on the Staysure Tour, the Championship attracted a whole host of golfing icons.
Diginius partner, Champions (UK) plc organised the event and their Managing Director, Matthew Hayes, expressed his happiness in being involved in such a great occasion, saying:
“We are delighted to add the European Legends Links Championship to the list of events we organise. Trevose is a unique and wonderful location and, with the golf playing out against the backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean, the Championship promises to be extra special… This event will allow amateurs the unique chance to play alongside some of the greats of the sport while allowing brands the opportunity to engage in sponsorship activation in this unique and beautiful setting”.
The event was hosted by 1991 Masters champion and former Ryder Cup winning captain, Ian Woosnam OBE, and gave companies the chance to play against sporting legends. The first three days gave amateur players the chance to compete against professional golfers, to try their luck against pros like Peter Baker, Paul Lawrie OBE and Jean van de Velde. On the final day, professionals went head to head, to compete for the Farmfoods European Legends Links Championship title, with French golfing pro, Jean-François Remésy, taking the win.
