Key Takeaways from Diginius Event at Google
On the 12th June Diginius hosted the eCommerce Transformation event at the Google head offices; a day focusing on the latest trends and transformations in the eCommerce world. While there were a number of different topics discussed by the speakers and guests who attended, there were three key themes identified at the event that can help eCommerce companies better understand how they can succeed.
The most important factors to achieve success? Ensuring a fully optimised website, a strong brand strategy and generating sufficient, relevant website traffic.
Website
Diginius invited partner company, VTEX, to discuss the benefits of investing in a stable & user- friendly website. As one of the leading eCommerce platforms globally, the founder of VTEX, Mariano Gomide de Faria, was able to provide comprehensive insights into expected changes for eCommerce companies moving forward.
He outlined that, with consumers becoming smarter and more demanding, there is a greater need for companies to create a better user experience on their website. With 66% of customers saying website performance influences their impression of a company, it is more crucial than ever for brands to ensure their site is hosted on a platform that is able to provide a seamless experience and to ensure the highest percentage of repeat business.
Brand
Matthew Hayes, the Managing Director of leading brand agency Champions, also emphasized that the focus for any eCommerce company should be the consumer. He highlighted the importance of building a distinguishable, experience-led brand to increase customer loyalty, affinity & retention.
As he outlined, the most vital tool in understanding the consumer and their psychology, is tech. Whilst in the past, it has been difficult to monitor and recognise consumer behavior, by utilising the newest and most innovative tech solutions, companies have the ability to properly push their brand to the consumers that matter the most.
Traffic
The final key to success for eCommerce companies is to generate efficient, sales-ready traffic to their website. The CEO and founder of Diginius, Nate Burke, focused on the importance of targeting the right consumers; to boost site traffic and ensure the best possible return on investment.
With over 5.6 billion searches conducted a day, the most important space to dominate is the Google network; however only a certain level of success can be achieved in this space manually. The only way to truly compete in the future is using tech solutions to automate the manual processes in online advertising. Diginius specialises in using product data-led methodology to create tech and software solutions, to bring valuable, sales-ready customers to your site.
