BrightonSEO 2024: What we learnt at this year’s conference
We seemed to blink and already four months of the year had gone by; and with April comes Brighton SEO. We headed down to the seaside last Wednesday afternoon, loaded with footballs, mouse mats and other treats for our stand. This year marked our fifth year at this conference and every time we feel it only gets better and better. It is always such a rewarding and enjoyable trip where we get to meet new faces, reconnect with old friends and spend time as a team outside of the London office.
Thursday was a bright and early start to get everything set up and organised for kick-off. This first day of BrightonSEO also meant the Search & Social Advertising show – a great series of talks covering a variety of topics from other industry leaders. We were proud to be the headline sponsor and Nate, our CEO, was invited to moderate, introducing all the fantastic speakers and their insightful talks. Among these speakers was our very own Chester Yang, the Microsoft Program Manager, who shared his knowledge of Netflix advertising and all the exciting opportunities it offers. Chester talked about Netflix’s growth since the introduction of the ad tier in 2022 and presented some of the comparative statistics from Netflix and YouTube users as well as advertising options and success rates.
Speaking about the experience he said,
“It was great to join a wonderful crowd at BrightonSEO where I had the opportunity to share insights into Netflix ads on the Microsoft Advertising platform. I was delighted to see people as excited about the Netflix opportunity as we are here at Diginius, with the potential of them being able to diversify their client's media strategy this year.”

The talk gave much food for thought and afterwards, those of us at the stand had many interesting discussions with attendees about topics raised in Chester’s talk.
As the day went on, we had the chance to meet many people and wander around the stands chatting to some of the other vendors. Eventually, we wrapped up at 6 pm and headed out for a much-needed team dinner in town.
Friday dawned and although it was a slightly quieter day, our wheel of fortune was beginning to show the signs of wear and tear from all the enthusiastic players. Before we knew it though, BrightonSEO had finished, and we were headed up the hill to catch our train back to London.
The enthusiastic and energetic atmosphere of the event is infectious and always makes for such a great experience for everyone involved. Being a part of an event where knowledge and expertise are shared in this manner and connections are forged in such a meaningful way makes us proud to be sponsors! We can’t wait for the next one! We now look forward to our next event when our team head over to Prague this month as the headline sponsors for the European Search Awards with Don’t Panic.
